Suiting Up reflects on the daily activity of a Christian believer, unseen in this world but clearly apparent in the spiritual one. At kitchen tables in our bathrobes, in the car on the way to work, or at night as we drift off to sleep, we take up the armor we have been given to forward God’s way of life to the world around us. With careful preparation and discipline, with constant connection to our Creator, we are given small and great moments to proclaim the truth, and I wanted to portray the ordinary and extraordinary elements of that here.
“Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” -Ephesians 6:14-17 ESV
